Tabletop Tuesday: Royal Gold

Tabletop Tuesday is a traditional setting of royal blue, white and gold. The combination is often a classy, even royal holiday favorite.

I have paired this festive, yet soothing setting with a trio of cobalt glassware including a white wine glass with a crystal stem, a big red wine glass with a tall stem and a solid blue water goblet.

The repetitive pattern around the main China plate is an ornate scroll. The scroll design element is part of the flatware design as well. The smaller plate has a simple gold rim. Vary your plates like any great design combination to bring fun and style to your table.

Tabletop Tuesday: Golden Leaves

Tabletop Tuesday is a gratitude setting. The color schemes reflects seasonal hues of gold, brown, auburn and orange with leaf designs. Vintage gold flatware and glassware accompany this setting.

Did you know that leaves are symbolic of fertility and growth? In traditional Chinese symbolism, leaves represent a tree that encompasses all of humanity. May we express gratitude for all that we have and ask for abundance for all living beings regardless of the season.

Tabletop Tuesday: Shells and Pumpkin

Tabletop Tuesday bridges the gap between summer and fall with Atlantic Ocean shells and a seasonal spice scented candle.

This green and speckled brown place setting is enhanced by an emerald green bottom plate, vintage rosewood and brass flatware, brown linen, green glass and a designer candle; the latest edition to the YCD product line

Introducing Gibson and Dehn candles. These gorgeous and delicious smelling candles burn clean and are clearly stylish. This one is their Pumpkin Brûlée scent. Perfect for the fall and for open houses.

Tabletop Tuesday: Bark + Pine + Feathers

Tabletop Tuesday celebrates the commencement of my favorite time of year. Autumn leaves, falling pine cones, pine tree needles and tree bark browns fill the earth.

For today’s inspiration, a brown stoneware setting is filled with pine cones on a table with earth and sand linen. The peacock feathers are meant to add color and celebrate their symbolism of integrity, nobility, protection and watchfulness.

We live in a time when living with integrity is critical. We are called to behave in a noble way in all things with all people. We are called to protect each other. It can all start by taking a seat at the table. #soulstylespace

Tabletop Tuesday: Verve

Tabletop Tuesday has some verve! Red, black and a splash of chili pepper red. Add some layers of shapes, sizes, patterns and retro fabulosity to really take it the edge. Spice up your tabletop with your food for a wonderful epicurean adventure.

Tabletop Tuesday: Black + White GeoCosmo

Tabletop Tuesday is all about geo cosmo ~ a cosmopolitan setting stacked on top of modern, geometric plate patterns. This black and white color scheme creates a high-impact visual effect because they are the complete opposite on the greyscale spectrum.

The plates feature a mix of the same shapes repeated in different formations and sizes. I love the cityscape of the top plate. The apple is a metaphor and the black glasses command to be filled with fine liquid libations.

Your tablesettings, along with your food, can transport you to other places, times and sceneries. It’s like a good book; a timeless journey to other dimensions.

Tabletop Tuesday: Love Dish

It’s Tabletop Tuesday. Let’s keep renewing the vows of love. Love of self, family, friends, community and the world at large. When we focus our purest intentions with the heartbeat of love at the forefront, the frequencies of that intention will reverberate throughout our lives. It’s like the wind in a storm. The more we power we give love, the stronger its commanding force.

Since this is a tabletop post, of course, the love theme includes food. Food that comforts us, nourishes us, strengthens us and just makes us purely happy regardless of category. It is my belief that food is fuel for our brains, our hearts and soul.

Eat with style. Eat with pleasure. Remember to send love and some food to those who are less fortunate than us. When we give abundantly, it will always show up in every area of our lives. Renew your vows with love today.

Tabletop Tuesday: Black + White Swirl

Tabletop Tuesday features my latest creation from a black and white plate collection of circles. I love the pop art illusion of endless spirals that rotate between white on black and black on white. By stacking these plates, it is really a fun salute to sassy modern style. I mixed this plates on a crisp, white linen with matte, slightly glossy black glassware and a classic bell to signal for more. If all else fails, you can eat that little black dish of rocks and shells. Sometimes that tastes better than your foot in your mouth while trying to eat a mediocre meal. Hey, it happens. Just show some gratitude and appreciate the presentation.
